Here we go again..

So it's been a while since I last posted, mainly because I forgot but let’s just forget about that fact. Instead we can focus on how I have been a very busy bee as it was my 18th Birthday not long ago so am officially allowed to drink ... therefore I don't really remember much of my birthday. That's a good sign... isn't it? Anyway since then I’ve been to Devon, London, Alton towers pretty much a jam packed time of fun. But all that fun has had to stop unfortunately as spring arrives so does revision and that means exams. They are the bane of my life! The problem with me is that I seem to be doing really well up until the exam and then when it comes to the exam everything just goes downhill. Hopefully all will go well this time!!

But I’m pretty sure you don't want to be depressed with all this therefore I shall swiftly move along. Now what I am about to introduce you to is possibly going to rule your life like it has mine, that thing is Etsy. Ah glorious Etsy how you have drained my bank account with all the beautiful things you have made me buy. If you don't already know Etsy is like EBay’s posher friend who is into handmade and vintage items opposed to any items. Etsy is an international market place for small sellers to display and sell their craft. And oh how wonderful it is, it even recommends things you might like based on things in your favourites, you can add people to your circle if you like some of the things in their favourites and then when they favourite something it will pop up on your activities. Etsy is by far my favourite website this month. I've just found so many unique things that I truly love and you can get things personalised so they are great as gifts. Therefore I would like to tell everybody that Etsy is where you should be because, quite simply, it is awesome.
Until next time, TTFN x

Twisted

well i got very bored so i drew a girl, when this didn't satisfy my boredom i decided to draw squiggles around her .. which turned into vines .. and after about ten minutes i realised i had drawn a very twisted picture, which is odd because i thought that i was a very bright and cheery girl... looks like i was wrong.

OMG COOKIE CAKE!!!!

So for my boyfriends 18th I made him an amazing cake with a twist, it was a chocolate cake with chunks of galaxy in it. Not only this but there was a giant cookie in between the two cake layers surrounded by yummy buttercream icing! Not trying to blow my own trumpet or anything but it was awesome, I even adapted the recipe specially. I'm so proud!

yummy :)

So on we dance...

I've decided that in the next couple of years i want to run a marathon. It would be such a great achievement, one slight problem... i am pants at running. Therefore i am trying to train myself, i have a feeling that this is not going to work. I'm quite a determined person but i much prefer sitting on the sofa watching 90210 than up and running for hours on end. I've planned three gym sessions this week, three, 3!!!!! I know its a stupid amount but if i plan ahead I'm more likely to actually go.

I'm also planning on going to a Latin class tomorrow, i thought it might be handy seeing as i want to stand out in my personal statement for uni. It also sounds like a bit of fun.

I am certainly not going to have a relaxing day this week, i already have two essays in and a mock for biology. To top it all off i am busy pretty much every night so i have no idea when I'm going to get it all done. But highlight of the week, we have an inset day on Friday and a pub quiz on Thursday night so my friends are coming over to mine for a girly sleepover. Can't wait!

Off to watch episode 11 of Awkward. (such a funny programme) TTFN!

Blissful Baking!

All day I have been aching to bake, anything really, unfortunately I'm busy for a couple of weeks so won't have time. However I can't wait till the 13th of October as that is when I will be baking to most awesome cake ever for my boyfriends 18th. I won't tell you what I'm planning, I'm afraid he'll sneak a peak and ruin it for himself. I will blog it after his birthday :)
One recipe I have been dying to try is a chocolate marble pound cake. They look amazing, this one is my favourite though:
Mary Berry's chocolate and vanilla marble loaf recipe

It is by far the best looking marble cake that I have seen on the Internet, when I test it out I will blog the verdict and rate how easy it was to make. I highly doubt mine will look like that though!!!

Went to a Wedding Fayre today with my family. My Sister's getting married in a couple of years and she wants everything planned out and perfect. She said that I'm making her cake and I almost had a heart attack. I think I will need a couple of years to practice all her demands.

All this talk of cake is making me hungry :) TTFN

Did you ever stop to think, and forget to start again...

Watching X-factor with my family is probably the most eventful part of my week. We all take our places in the lounge, preparing for the excitement. Silence lingers for all of five seconds and then the arguments begin. Dad is arguing his point about how the judges could all fit in one car, mum is trying to imitate the accents she hears, and I'm trying to tell them both to shut up so I can actually watch the program we go out of our way for watching.
I swear I live in a madhouse, where the men in white coats have brought me to. Unfortunately this isn't one of my books, this is reality. If this were my own story then I would be some kick ass ninja style heroin, who gets the really hot guy (at least that bits true :)) I might write a story about my time here one day, jazz it up a bit, make it more eventful, some awesome girl that is just that bit more extraordinary than me.

Moving on to something more interesting: Books
The one I've been reading this week is called 'The Handmaids Tale' my English literature teacher recommended it to me. I'm so glad she did.

Now if you're addicted to Sci-Fi novels then this is right up your street. Set in an alternate time, 'The Handmaids Tale' is the story of a woman who remembers her life before everything was drastically changed, however she is not allowed to deviate from her designated path, if she does then she will be put to death. Being one of the few women left able to have children she is forced to travel from commanders houses to have their children. However she longs for the freedom she knew from the times before and is determined to find a way out of this hell.

I have loved this book so far, it is written beautifully and the characters are portrayed in such a way that it is as though they are standing next to you.  A definite recommendation!

Seriously can not stop listening to this song, I heard it on an advert on Five USA and couldn't get it out of my head. Thought other people should hear it too, its soooooo good, Rokhsan is very talented.

Now its time to watch Vampire Diaries!!! TTFN.

Annoying A.

Angered and Aching.

Another cold. I hate being ill, but for some reason illnesses love me. In fact they can't get enough of me. I'm the easy A of the virus world. On top of that, my day hasn't been all fine and dandy either. It was not only cold, but windy, and standing at a makeshift bus stop at half eight in the morning with rain spitting in my face, really didn't set my day up for a good start. Pathetic fallacy much. The bus was late, as usual, it has serious issues with punctuality. When it did arrive it stunk of school kids and sweat, as soon as I pass my driving test I will swear an oath to never set foot on that bus again. Until that day, however, I will have to grit my teeth and deal with the many feet and gangly legs that clutter the aisle as I walk to the back seat.

I hope it's not just me who converts to a moody cow when they're ill. I like to think I'm not the only one anyway, makes me feel less guilty if/when I snap at someone for doing the smallest of things.

I started to feel better by lunch time. Food is the cure to any illness!! Unfortunately mine was bland, my mum said it was so it didn't upset my stomach. The blandness of the food upset me. So when I got home I made myself an extravagant snack and snuggled up to watch '16 and Pregnant'. Ahhhh perfect.

As we are on the theme of A, here is a list of my favorite things beginning with A:

Astro-Duck!
- Aloe Vera (Not the actual stuff, but the word, mainly because every time my mum says it she impersonates a parrot that's trying to say "Hello Vera". Utter madness.)
- Appetizers (They're not quite the main meal, but you're always happy when they arrive)
- Astronaut Duck... (Yes my friend, I hear your amazement and it is true, I do own a rubber duck that is an Astronaut.)
- Animal Biscuits (Whoever came up with those is pure genius)
- Aesop's Fables (Because they put a smile on my face)
- ♫ Again by NeedtoBreathe ♫
- Angels (Because in my books the boys are FIT!!)

Let's hope for the best that I will be happy and healthy tomorrow, opposed to angered and aching.
